Happy 44th Birthday, Reston!

Last year, the Reston Festival celebrated the 43rd Birthday in style with two full days of outstanding entertainment, fine arts & crafts, delicious food and countless activities for all ages.   If you missed out on the fun, make sure you mark your calendar for this year so you don't miss out.

This celebration first began in 1967 at Lake Anne Village Center.  Sponsored solely by the Reston Citizens Association (RCA)  for most of its long history, the Reston Festival eventually evolved (in 1999) into an enduring community partnership uniting the strengths of the RCA, the Reston Association (RA) and the Reston Community Center (RCC).

In 2003, the Festival moved from its long-time home at Lake Anne to its current home at the Reston Town Center, which is a significantly larger venue.  More space allows us to accommodate more community and business booths plus enhance the entertainment and activity areas that Restonians have come to expect.

Although it may be larger than in years past, community spirit still drives this celebration.  The Reston Festival strives to showcase the best local entertainment talent, artisans, businesses and community resources in celebration of the birthday of Reston.  The Festival emphasizes the importance of volunteerism and community involvement by introducing Reston residents and businesses to a wide array of volunteer organizations in and around Reston.  Call 703-435-7989 for more information.
