The Village Jazz Band The Village Jazz Band is an eight piece Dixieland  band, playing and singing the music of Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton and many other musicians associated with the traditional New Orleans style of toe-tapping jazz and soulful blues. The VJB is a member band of the Potomac River Jazz Club. 12-12:45pm
Elikeh Elikeh is a seven piece band playing some funky roots music from West Africa with drums, bass, three guitars, percussion and horns.  The result is an organic blend of phat grooves and sweet, sweet melody. Nominated in 2007 for "Best World Music Band" by the Washington Area Music Association. 1-1:45pm
Cake cutting ceremony Celebration ceremony featuring the cutting of the "Happy Birthday Reston" cake. 2-2:15pm
Jumex Jumex has evolved from a group of high school kids jamming in a basement to a diverse group of strong musicians. Jumex's sound is shaped by a range of influences including jazz, funk, rap, rock, electronica, and pop. Jumex plays jazz standards as well as originals. Jumex is based in Reston.  2:15-3pm
Andrew McKnight

Wherever McKnight takes the stage, audiences are at once spellbound and relaxed by his entertaining stories delivered with just the right touches of down home humor, causing one concert-goer to label him “equal part Robert Frost, William Least Heat-Moon and Jeff Foxworthy!”  His seemingly boundless energy moves around, one moment in dancing fingers, the next the impassioned delivery of a poignant lyric, followed by a playful rhythmic foot stomp to keep time; here is a man who clearly loves his work.

Full Mesh

Full Mesh is a Corporate Band, playing local venues and corporate competitions. Three years running, Full Mesh has participated in the Fortune Magazine Battle of the Bands at the Rock and Roll hall of fame in Cleveland, OH . Full Mesh plays a blend of rock from the 70's, 80's and today.

Bobby Thompson & The Magic Voyagers

Bobby Thompson and The Magic Voyagers perform a seamless blend of blues, folk, rock, funk and reggae, and reach audiences of all ages with both light-hearted originals, and socially-conscious songs in the tradition of Bob Dylan and Bob Marley. Accomplished on both the electric blues guitar and the Weissenborn lap slide, Bobby has released two albums under his name and is currently working on a third, co-produced with bassist Patrick Thornton (Pat McGee Band). Bobby also tours and records with Bob Marley's guitarist Junior Marvin (The Wailers), and has recently worked with members of Thievery Corporation.

Lesson Zero

LESSON ZERO is a 4-piece group featuring vocal harmony and great guitar work on their original rock compositions that go places unheard of in most music and world-class, rock covers.  "Coming Back," their new video, can be seen on youtube.  This will be a cd release event for LESSON ZERO.

Luke Brindley With his latest self-titled solo record, New Jersey raised DC-based Luke Brindley affirms his relevance among leading young singer/songwriters.  Critics and fans are already responding with praise.  The Washington Post called it “One of the year’s best roots-rock releases.  Luke is not your typical rock star.  Though he appears to have all of the ingredients included in the modern recipe; young, good looking, rebel dress and incredible talent, his music draws from another time – it is reminiscent of artists some decades ago who focused on the timeless art of songwriting.  Noon-12:45
Nicholas Yrizarry

Nicholas Yrizarry has been playing the classical guitar for over 40 years and has performed at the Kennedy Center as well as several benefit events in the Northern Virginia area. Nicholas will be playing several romantic Spanish classical guitar pieces that spread over 700 years at this year’s Reston Festival.

Satellite Papa

Satellite Papa is a Virginia-based rock band that specializes in classic, fusion, progressive and blues rock.  Not your average classic rock band grinding out overdone oldies, they pride themselves on covering a wide range of rock genres, surprising the audience with that seldom heard deep cut, yet bringing them to their feet with a familar rock and roll classic.  The show is fast paced and focused on sampling the wonderful variety of rock and roll.  satellitepapaband@yahoo.com

WD Miller Band

If you like catchy pop hooks and lots of vocal harmonies, the WD Miller Band will hook you.  The group plays an eclectic mix of originals and covers. Their music has been described as a cross between the Beatles and the Eagles. The WD Miller band recently won Fox TV's Rock the Vote contest and has been playing to packed houses around Northern Virginia
